I decided I wanted a special sealed enclosure to house my new Memphis Audio PR15-124 SVC subwoofers. This was my first ever enclosure project.
To start I bought a 8x4 sheet of 3/4 MDF from home depot like this..

After I made all my calculations and drew out the pieces I went ahead and cut them out to see how they butted together. In this case it worked out suprisingly nice the first time around.

After butting them together I also realized that my backing piece wasn't tall enough and didn't have a 45 degree angle to accommodate the top piece so I was forced to cut out a new one and miter cut the angle. No big deal.
After screwing together all the main pieces and sealing them with silicone, it was time to mount the top piece. I had already drawn my holes and cut them with a jig saw to fit the 12 inch subs perfectly.
The top fit nicely, except for a little lip at the bottom that I sanded down and sealed later on before upholstering the box. Miter cuts with a big old skill saw are tricky!

Here is the enclosure after being completely screwed together, sanded, and sealed with silicone on the inside. Now ready for the fabric that I purchased from Joann fabric store..

Here is the finished box. The enclosure holds 1.5 cubic feet of air for each sub woofer. I used drywall screws to put the whole thing together and I used 3M spray glue to carpet the box. I would like the the12volt.com for all the info and calculators that I used to build this. Installed photos coming soon. Hope this helps for some people.

First off, is that an extended cab or a crew cab 4 door? and did you take out your back seat? i would like to see pictures of the finished box with the subs in and in the truck. i have a 2003 f150. but i also have 2 kids so i have to mount the box under the back seat and i have an extended cab so i only got .7 cu ft in each chamber, but went with 2 12'' earthquake sws subs and a 1000 watt earthquake amp. it is loud yes, but that is what i was going for. i am however contemplating taking out the center seat in front and custom fabricating a fiberglass encosure to get more air space and a harder hit out of it. when i get around to that i will start a tpoic on that alone, but its wisconsin and its cold, so im screwed. lol. anyway let me know more on ur ride i love ford trucks, would be nice to see what else you have done. props!
