Hey guys im wondering if you all can help me out with where to get this type of cloth or a better way to cover this speaker port.

First of all Im making a CB radio mount for my cars dash. I am making a "port" type thing since the speaker is mounted on the bottom side of the radio and it will be behind the dash. The port will be under the radio in the picture below. What im wondering is what type of 'cover" cloth should I get for the port cover?

I was thinking some sort of speaker enclosure cloth that goes over speakers like in home theater systems and even on some door speaker grills. I will be making an insert for this cloth to cover the hole with.

Just use perforated metal, or Mesh. a good <=-Link

use speaker grille cloth. You can get it at Parts Express.com

check ebay for remnants for cheap. Or hit the local thrift shop ^-^v

No problem, its good to have extra so you can replace the grille cloth when it gets old or dirty .

i have bought speaker grill cloth at the local fabric store and they will sell as much or as little as you want

I used cloth for a similar project and found its hard to glue on and to stretch taut. Ended up with it looking wavy. Should have gone with some kind of perforated metal like eclecticos said.
