so im kinda new to the whole fiberglass enclosure business. ive done body work and all that, but first time for my sub. do i need to port a fiberglass enclosure or does it work better sealed?

ill be running a JL 12w3 with a JL500/1 im more of a loud and obnoxious bass kind of guy. the box i have now is ported and it seems to do the trick. since iver never used fiberglass before im not sure what kind of sound i will be getting. any thoughts?

fiber glass is no different than a mdf enclosure, but if built right its actually better/ stronger (less flexing).you can do sealed or ported. and i would recommend a ported enclosure. i assure you if its built correctly you will definitly achieve your goal off having good,loud,clean bass
