This is a box going into a Galant. Only had 37 inches wide and 14 tall to work with. I have been working on it for about a week now around 2 hours every morning. I still have alot of other pics that need to go up but this is what i got now. Let me know what you think.
 
Right here i am just stretching the fleece getting it ready for glassing. 
Here is after the resin was laid and I sanded it with and air sander so i could lay the fiberglass cloth.

Looks good.
Now you get to do the fun part of adding mat and sanding....lots of sanding.

what i think is.......and i say this so many times i sound like a broken record........it looks good, really good. but........what you should have done is build this thing so there is no back. that way when you are at the stage you are at now you can just flip over the box then put all your reinforcment matting on the INSIDE. then put on the back. youll have so much less sanding to do that you wont believe it. im not sure when people started doing it the opposite way, or who is was that started that school of thought, or started using fleece either, but i find those ways to be not near as good. and its very hard to make anything with great detail like that.

looks awsome.. one question...why did you take out your supports. should have left them in for more support correct. especially with 4 12s going in this box...

Looks GREAT!
The supports usually get removed, some people will argue with me but if you need those little wood braces the keep your box from cracking you should not be building boxes or you need to make your glass a little thicker. When I make a box i usually stand on the thing to make sure that it is not going to crack after being beat on.
I second the back piece as well! best thing to do is make the box with a back but hold on gluing the back on just use a few screws get everything else glued, screwed and clamped together, glass your fleece and then I usually clamp the box from each side just to be safe then unscrew the back, and then fiberglass everything from the back. I mean he has enough room to do it still with all the open space to keep the back on and still add mat to the back. It will save you tons of time in the long run.
Box looks awesome though man, another small piece of advice is if you rabbit the front edge of your mdf box when you stretch and staple the fleece staple it in the rabbit; that way you have a very smooth transition from carpet to paint or what ever decide to cover it with :)

There is so much glass that there is no need for the supports anymore. I can stand on the speaker rings now and it doesnt even flex. there is no way a sub can mess it up. I actually meant to leave the back open but I was in a hurry and put liquid nails down and so it would have created a mess to work with. But I am pretty good with glassing so its not that hard to do for me. There are five coats of glass on it now and it looks great. I need to get more pictures on here for you guys. I also built a box for 2 12s that is pretty sweet. i can get that on here if anyone wants. thanks guys

i love these enclosures,the only thing is i have just one JL 12 w7 in a ported enclosure and i can think of anything cool to do for just one sub.

Props to the desire and devotion..... I like it. I make my rings usually about 1-1/4 thick(Inner perimeter to outer perimeter) and always 2 layers(glued together) of 3/4 mdf to anchor the woofers screws/bolts better. I overdue everything though.

I think I am going to do that with the box I am building for my 83 chevy. when you glue them together it creates the sub to mount flush right? Im guessing that is what you are talking about. One piece of wood that the sub is screwed to then another piece that goes around the sub and is glued or screwed or even both to hold the pieces of wood together. Or are you just talking about doubling up the two 3/4 in pieces of mdf for more support for screwing in the sub. Either way works I guess!
