Hey all... i've been doing LOTS of reading, and learning. I'm intrigued by fiberglass now lolposted_image

arggh.. i kept/posted wrong pic... this pic the resin had just been applied, and was still wet... most of those air bubbles had been removed

thanks! ya.. i sanded the hell outta that thing.. a lil too much.. so i had to reapply filler/resin

that looks really good is that your first box? it looks really good im still a little scared of fiberglass but your box looks awsome keep it up you have the knack

nice box. it looks like you used plywood and not mdf. should have used mdf

it does not matter what would u use. installers use mdf cause its smooth and cheap the harder the wood the better the box ....I made a box out of oak once it was heavy as hell but sounded amazing no vibrations at all

I see a lot of people layering on the Bondo these days. I use it only as a patch or fine tuned form definition. Is all that needed?

Lol, its actually not that much on there, but i had to Bondo it to try and level out the imperfections. The end result didn't turn out too bad... Will take a pic of it in a couple days, just got my truck back and will resume work on it soon enough..
