Hi guys, great forum.  Have been reading some theads to try and learn the ways of fiberglass.

I would like to fit a low profile sub (10-12") behind a panel in the rear of the 1995 toyota Landcruiser.  A forum member of a landcruiser forum was making and selling these but they are no longer available.  I will post pics with questions to get your input.

I currently have 2 amplifiers behind this panel that I will move under the driver and passenger seats to make room for the sub.

This is the panel where the enclosure would go (fits under it):

This is what it looks like without the cover, and below that are the naked pictures:

So here come the questions:

- I am not sure if he fiberglassed inside the enclosure our outside over the orange material, what woudl make more sense?

- Is this the best way to make an enclosure like this?

- Wouldn't it be better to make it out of all fiberglass and then have an MDF front to mount the woofer?  Wouldn't this allow for more efficient use of the ackward space, more volume for woofer?  How is this done, can anyone point me in the direction of a build thread?

All of the builds I have seen are subs that mount to visible enclosures.  Mine is a little different because I want to mount it behind the plastic panel.  I would be open to suggestions on how to incorporate the panel into the build also.  I just don't want to woofer to stick out passed the plastic panel.  I would be open to cutting out an opening in the plastic panel for the woofer too.

Pics, threads, links, ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

sorry thought your enclosure was done. My bad.
ok how much space do you have behind the panel?
To make the curves us making tape and cardboard and us them to help fiberglass and using mdf for the ring for the sub and any big areas. helps the fiberglass and the flexing of the box
