Hi, i've been interested in car's ever since i got my first one two years ago. Anyway, I built my sub box (only a basic sealed job) about 6 months ago, and now i want to start doing up my front stage. I want to build some pods with fibreglass, but don't know the first thing about it, and i don't have alot of money.

Basically I'm looking for a tutorial that can start from the start. I know that i have to create the shape (EG: build MDF frame, cover with old t shirt or something, then put the resin on or something. I would like something that assumes i know nothing, as i really want to learn this.

Yo Jeff,

I am a member of glassman's forum and looking at the photos on that site are kewl and all, but it's made out to be harder than it looks. For example door panels; say if you wanted to mount a set of 5.25" components on the door. When you mount the rings on the door, and wrap your liner/fleece over the rings, do you use the pre-existing door panel as a template, or do you actually incorporate it as part of the fiberglass mold? I even tried making the 94' Infiniti box(like the one on his site) and it turned out terrible, cause I tried making too many sides out of fiberglass at once. Like I made 5 sides and it turned out all wrinkled with folds and joints everywhere.
