i'm about to try to tint my wife's car and was wondering if anyone knew if 20% tint would match the back windows. oh yeah, 2005 mercury mountaineer premier. i want to match the back windows. thanks

I dont know...Would guess like 35%...Alot of shops have templates you could put up against the window and match it up , Although b/c of the windshield the same % might appear lighter...Are the  windows all the way in back tinted also...? Defitnely find out whats legal where you are and make a decision based on that. Plus isnt there like 3 months of dark...Maybe should add some HID's instead. posted_image

the factory tint depends on the maker of the car and the model, i did a couple of tints and matched them up. most of the windows are 20% or 30% and some are even 15%.

i like where you are going with the HID's, i'll have to run that by the wife since it is her car. yeah, we are in the summer right now so the dang sun is up all the time, so i'm guessing the tint would be a good upgrade. from other forums and what not, they are saying 20%. so i guess we will find out. i'm about to install a remote start on her car, not looking to foward to that but it should be pretty straight foward.
