hey just wondering how you cut such perfect small circles, i know the obvious one is a holesaw, im just wondering cause im building some jag door cars and they are keeping parts from the original door speaker grill and rings i can incorporate them if i can cut the circles well enough but at the moment i can figure out how to cut small circles to any size perfectly as the speaker rings are like 13.5mm and 6.7mm in diameter i cant use a holesaw and i dont have a routertable so im out of ideas

I used a router and a perfect circle to cut them, in the past ive done them with a jig saw but not as easy. but if you take your time u could make them look ok

i havent been able to find a small perfect circle though. mine has a minimum radius of 70mm so a 6" circle is as small as i can get it. i know the issue with a jigsaw i was hoping to avoid having to use one. :) but im not sure how possible that is may involve a heap of sanding,

For small holes you can use a hole saw bit. Like for tweeter size holes. If you want to do flush mount. Use 3 different size hole saw bits. Drill a hole for the bit to go in. Do the inside first. Cut in the desired depth for flush. Do NOT cut all the way through. Then use the same center hole so that you can make the larger outside cut and cut all the way through. Then take a even small bit and cut the inside out to give you a donut looking piece. Use a screw driver to pop out the inner material leaving you a nice recessed piece. to make it easier than my explanation of how to do here is a vid.

i also found this circle jig. for cutting smaller holes like tweeter circles. I didn't know my self that they made them to cut this small.
