Im making custom pods for my door panels to hold (2) 5.25"s each, i have made the front and rear panels out of mdf, i want to do the sides out of fiberglass, I would also like to cover the front panel with fiberglass so that i can paint it to match the sides, do i just matt the sides then apply a few layers of fiberglass, and top off with bondo and primer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You can do it that way, however I would suggest that you pick up some fleece from a fabric store, or even wal-mart. The fleece should be pulled tightly over the area that you want covered, ie. the walls/sides of your enclosure. After you pull it tightly over the form, attach it via hot glue, staples, or whatever that you have that can hold it in place. Then soak the fleece with resin. You will end up with a hard form that is curved in the manner, in which you pulled the fleece over it.
