Can carbon fiber be painted? For example, I am thinking about buying a carbon fiber hood, but can I paint it to look like the rest of my car? I'm not into that carbon fiber look too much.

Although i love the look and texture of carbon fiber, yes you can paint it. It is the same basic steps as painting fiberglass, but some types of paint and 'clear' won't work and may destroy the carbon fiber. But yes you can paint it.  Just ask a professional painter which paints will/won't work.

I manufactured carbon hoods for years for Bodykits NW. You can't hurt it. Go ahead and paint it. Just prep it like anything else.
