we have an 3 escalade in for a stereo and video workover, the plan is to glass two 10" subs in the rear cargo door, we have tseted the rear door and 30 lbs will pull down the hatch,so what we are looking for is replacement gas struts for the rear.

Check out a farming implement and see if they have any cab door struts. They are usually heavy duty and have the same mounting diameter and length as most vehicles.
