For those rare, small modifications that can use hot glue, what do you guys typically use? I was using the clear stuff for a couple small projects on my own car (ie test fitting a couple gauge cluster ideas prior to fiber-glassing) but noticed that it had the tendency to melt away on me in the heat. I remember back in the C.City days we used the black hot glue and that seemed to work fine. Is there a difference (ie light vs. heavy duty) and what works best?

I always use clear silicone and the hot glue. The hot glue is there only to hold it till the silicone cures. Where I am, hot glue of any color or quality does not work. It will all melt.

That's pretty much what I figured. Just wasn't sure if there was a 'higher temp' heavy duty glue.
