I am doing my install myself.  What I need to know is if there is any place thats sells solid sheets of fiberglass like in 4x8 sheets?  Since I have no curves, I want to just cut the size I need and glue and screw it to my box.  Would this be a good idea or no?

Thanks

you cant really buy sheets of fiberglass, (that i know of). You wouldent really want to, fiberglass is weaker in flat spots. Im not sure i see why you would want to do this. If its just a box just use some MDF. You could put some glass cloth on the box and resin it on, but i dont think it would be of any purpose.

Hello,

You can get sheets of fiberglass. Not sure how hard it would be for anybody though.

My dad has a company that makes portable stages, so we use 4'x8' fiberglass sheets laminated to plywood, honeycomb, plywood, then annother sheet of fiberglass one the other side.

So, we have stacks of fiberglass sheets. I think they are about .190 thick. One side is bumpy (but shiny) and the other side is smooth.

Well, we probably have them custom made, but I'm sure you could get them from like McMaster-Carr or a place like that. Never tried though.

C-ya.
