This may be a dumb question, and it may have been answered already and I just didn't see it. With a fiberglass enclosure where the speaker ring is essentially two rings - one that goes around the subwoofer, and the other that you actually mount the subwoofer to (see picture), all the tutorials seem to have no support for the rings beyond what is needed to stretch the fleece over this. From there, the only thing holding the rings in place is the resin that hits the top of the outer ring through the fleece. Is this really enough to withstand the weight and vibration from a subwoofer and not cause it to separate from the fiberglass?
