Hey Every one,

I got turned to this site by a friend and it looks liek there is some really good information here.

My question is, I have a 65 chevy 1/2 ton truck and i want to put in a 98 explorer dash in my truck. My plan was to make a fiberglass mold of the new dash and change want a want in the dash and make it bigger where it needs to be.

I was just wondering if any one had any tips to make this easier on me?

Thanks

Keith

what you are looking at doing will require you you to strip off the factory covering of vinyl of the ford dash. you will also have to cut it and extend it while still keeping the shape of the dash. this can be a task to say the least. you will also have to make new mounts for the new dash.
you might be be way better off starting from scratch. take a look at the alpine civic build up. there are pics of them building a new dash from scratch.

here is a link.....the dash starts on page 6
