Nothing is imposible, there is a way for everything. I you can think about it, you can build it. And that's the bottom line

From what i've seen and from my own ideas i would sugest.
Start by making a wooden frame (thin or thick, its the interior volume that is important). You may want the mount a fairly thing mounting ring for the driver instead of mounting it straight onto the actual fibre glass. Once that is finnished streach a plyable foam cloth around the frame and fasten it with stapples etc.
Once the frame is coverd, apply resin to the foam so that it goes quite stiff, there after once it has dried one can apply multiple layers of actuall fibre glass to the box of extra srtength that you'll need.

A good step by step picture guide to follow and one that I found very usefull is on the Alpine website if you look under their show car installs, I think it was the Integra or something.

Like iaudio said go to this site then the rest would be placing the pods on a cut peice of MDF board and shaping it and use a router on the edges. It really isnt that hard if u have the money and time.

you could try creating the pods by using a series of mdf rings and cover with aluminun mesh then glass over it
and finish with car body filler . im thinking of having a go myself as it looks nice as ive got 2 13" subs to fill my boot
maybe ill make a big dog bone hehe.
