Hey, I was wondering if anyone has information on how to make the glossy shiny look on a fiberglass box that the pros have? Do u have to bring it to a professional car painting shop and get it done? I am making a 5 cuft fiberglass box for 2 15s and an amp and want to get that look, to get it would i just do all the fiberglass mat sanding all the stuff and then wet sand and prime and wet sand again then bringit to them or what? any advice is needed.

If you aren't experienced with paint then I would send it out to a painter.

The shine mainly comes from the clear coat. Use a high quality, high gloss automotive clear.

would about 3 layers of high gloss oil based paint then a coat of clear coat all ontop of primer work? How hard is it to stretch vinyl over a fiberglass box?

I normally have a painter do my paintwork so I don't know have the clear would react to oil based paints. The difficulty with vinyl depends on the shape. -------------
