Hello all,

I've got a Pioneer 6 disk cd changer and I would like to mount it in a custom stealth enclosure under my glove box in my 97 nissan altima.  I'm thinking for me to have a "factory looking" (it's gonna be right under the heater core which flat black plastic-so i want it to match) enclosure i would need to glass it .  Only thing is:...how do you fiber glass?  My other question is: do you have to use MDF? Could i use something like birch wood or pine?  Thanks in advance

Well, mdf is cheap and easy, but you can use anything else as long as it is going to give you a strong base and usually you want to be able to take a router to the edges, which you should not have any trouble taking a router to hard wood.  Fiberglass is pretty easy, just experiment with it. I am not to sure how you are wanting it to look or do, so it is hard to say how to build it.  Try to give me more info. and I can give more as well.

Well...the heater cor has a black finish that looks like abs plastic.  So that's the look I was gonna go for.  I wanted it to look like the hearter core is just there and nothing else.  In other words, I want it to be there but not look like it's there.
