Hello,

I'm new to this forum :)

Here is my question: What exactly is the purpose of these plastic sheets inside all car doors? This link discusses their importance...

do you guys actually repair or adjust this plastic when installing ? How important is this? I have speakers that were installed into the doors.. are my doors gonna rott now???

You're link doesn't seem to be working, but... The plastic inside of every car door is a vapor barrier. It helps to keep moisture from corroding your switches and other wiring in the door. I've found that they also reduce fog inside of your windows. Older cars always rip when you take them off, but on the newer ones, if you grab it tightly and pull in short bursts, they usually come off intact. Hope this helps.

i just put a new peice on when doing something, i also have an older car
