Alright i'm back!!!
After havin lots of fun with my custom fiberglass dash with the 7" LCD screen mold flushed into i'm on another project now.. The dash is like ice!! it's amazing!
Ne ways while i'm makin body kits i wanna do sumthing at home. So i got this wood box which is damn heavy that can hold 2 10"s. I wanna fiberglass it.. It also has Glass in the front and i am going to etch a design into it after i am done the fiberglass.
Best way i should do this? I got 2 gallons of resin, and about 4 packages of Fiberglass mat.. Should i do it this way? Should i sand down the box a bit? If so what kinda grit i should use? After i got the glass satrted should i wet sand at all?
Here are 2 pics of the box. They have the felt on it still but i took it off and it's all wood.

ok that pic is fuked up royally so here is a better one..
Sorry!

Any1 know? I have stripped the carpet off it and i bought a new piece of plexiglass for the etching design i am adding to it.. I have sanded down the box so do u think i should slap on the fiberglass mat and resin or is there sumthing else i should do? Also i got lots of holes so before i pour the resin do u think i should add sum body filler first then sand then resin and fiberglass it?

yes, cover all indents and holes with bondo or equiv. then start layering resin and glass. wet sanding in my personal opinion is worth the effort although it is an easily debated subject. also the last few layers are just resin and bondo to get it smooth then paint
alsp, i want to try the fiberglass roof thing, any pics you have will help a lot. let me know how your box turns out later
