What is a good affordable spraygun(s) for doing primer, basecoat, clearcoat on glassed boxes?

depending on what you deem affordable, you can get a porter cable gun with a 1.4mm tip at lowes for about $70.

if you want a good gun you can get a DeVilbiss for about 285 online ........... https://www.toolparadise.com/

another place you can go is harbor freight. they have decent guns there too.

i'd go with a Sata Cobalt. high quality body shop approved for about $170. good overall gun. don't buy cheap guns. they are like headunits.

i'm not saying that i am the best painter in the world, or that i have been doin it for half my life. but i have noticed that for the most part you can get a way with an inexpensive gun for most applications except the clear coat. it is MUCH easier to get a finish with a good gun. but for primers, especially poly primer i use a cheaper gun. i have a good gun for base and clear.

you can achieve a good looking finish with an inexpensive gun tho. it might just take a bit more practice. i have had really good results with cheaper guns before i got me devilbis.
