I'd say so, but I'd also try it outside first just to be sure.  I'd hate to see you ruin that nice rug.  Just mix it up in the right proportions (not too hot).

Depending on how big your project is the cup is fine. For larger projects, I'd go to the kitchen and empty out a 4 liter plastic milk jug, clean it out with hot water and dry it thoroughly and cut it in half just under the handle. Now you have a re-usable container for fiberglassing larger projects & it only costed you the cost of the milk posted_image

I have used 3 oz dixie cups and lined them up with the amount I'll need for the project. Then, just add hardener as you go. I have found that with large batches, it hardens up before you get through what you need.

How do you manage to re-use the milk jug? Do you just let the resin dry and become hard, or do you clean it out somehow?

Yes, after i'm done the remaining resin gets hard and I squish the milk jug and the hardened fiberglass pops out in the perfect shape of the bottom of the jug. I usually use the container about 3-4 times before I do this.

Thanks for the quick and informative reply. posted_image I'll have to use this technique for my next fiberglass project.
