I am preparing for a 'glass install, but I see all different thicknesses of glass. How is it measured... is the lower the number the thicker the mat (ie: 2oz is thicker than 12 oz), or is the higher the number the thicker the mat (12oz is thicker than 2oz). Thanks for the help.

The higher the thicker. I dont really know but it may be the weight of one sq ft of the mat, so 12 would be a lot more thick than 2 oz .
