Ok I have built a lot of boxs over the past year or so and now a friend was wondering if i could build him a custom fiberglass enclosure that will hold two 12s and his 2 amps. I have never done this before and i was just wondering where to start, what sorta of materials i need, how long it will take, and any other valuable information. I build and install systems for people in my town just sorta on the side for a little extra money, and it would be really cool if i could do fiberglass also.

What I would do if I were you I would start out small to get the hang of it. Get you four pieces of wood cut them about 10 inches put them together into a square shape. Get some fiberglass mat, and resin and go to work. Remember to strech it...and sand..sand...sand....the smoother it is..the better you finished product will be.

Rookie of the year that is...
Don't let the smoke out of your equiptment..it doesn't go back in.
Materials you will need:
Fiberglass Mat (alot if the enclosure is going to be big and have amp racks)
Fiberglass Resin W/ MEKP (MEKP is the hardner, the more you put in the faster it hardens)
Paint Brush (To dab the resin into the fiberglass mat or fleece)
Fleece (if needing to wrap to get a certain shape)
Dowels and Hot Glue (To hold the speaker ring so you can get the shape you need)
Acetone (To put the brush in afterwards)
Gloves
Respirator or mask
