I know krylon spray paint is not the best, but as an inexpensive way to complete small projects, would it look really bad. I figure is it is put on in careful light coats, and clear coated it wouldn't look that bad, unless a car with pro paint was beside it

i would def suggest going with Testors Model paint. The kind in the spray cans. i used this for my whole fiberglass setup and it looks professional. Shops around here asked me where i got it done. So try that, but make sure the peice being painted it TOTALLY smooth.

duplicolor should be a great choice too. i painted my entire interior with it. granted its not fiberglass, but it came out VERY well. i sued truck/va/SUV spray paint for my interior
