the resin container should have recommendations for the # of drops to put in.  Use this as your starting point.  Check the temp of the room or outside or wherever you're working.  Keep in mind that the warmer it is, the less hardener you need.  It'll take a bit of trial and error, but you should get an idea of how much to use, and how long it'll take to cure.  After a couple of batches (remember to count drops) you should also be able to add or subtract drops based on how long you want to work with the stuff.  Does this help at all?

With Bondo Resin, the hardener says 14 drops for each ounce of resin at approximately room temperature. So if it's much hotter than room temperature, use less drops. I use about 60 drops for about 4 ounces when the weather is cool.

it is easier to measure if you spend $10 and get an MEKP dispenser. it is s squeeze bottle that measures the MEKP in cc/or mL. then if you use a marked mixing cup it is easy to use a 2% ratio.....if you are mixing 500mL or resin......just add 10cc of MEKP..........you will get a more accurate mixture every time. this is really handy when you are mixing large batches or multiple batches.

look at your local fiberglass supplier for the dispenser or at some of the fiberglass sites online.

I always use around 2.5% of hardener also using a MEKP dispenser. MUCH easier than counting drops.
