hey everybody,
I made a fiberglass insert for my center console lid that I'm installing a USB trackpad into. I nee to know what product I need to buy in order to mold the fiberglass insert to the padded vinyl console lid. I want to have a smooth transition between the fiberglass insert and the lid. I will be re-tuxturing and painting it I'm done molding it.
Also what kind of paint would I need that would work with both the vinyl and the fiberglass part.
Thanks,
Voodoosoup

this maybe too late ......but that is hard to do. you might want to try the 3m plastic repair for flexable plactic. there should be a filler and one to smooth it out. then use regular primer with as much flex additive as it recommended. then add it to your paint and clear too. that is the only way i can think of to do it. let the primer sit for a day or so to fully adhere. and you might want to spray it with a adhesion promoter too.
