I want to get some ABS plastic sheets to make a custom switch panel.   Would 1/16 be a good thickness or should I go more 3/32 or 1/8?

Also I found a tool that is suppose to cut square holes in up to 18 gauge  unhardened metal or plastic.   How thick is 18 gauge metal?  I wan to make squares for rocker switches.

thanks for any input

i usually use 1/8 inch for that kind of thing.......unless it needs to bend in an odd contour and i dont want to deal with heating it

i think 18ga steel is about 1/16 thick.
shoot me an PM and let me know where you found that square hole cutter
