I was wondering if any one has done any work on a Chevey Venture mini van and what a good measurement of square footage was for the interior for sound dampining?

O.K. let me clarify, I want to dampen the entire interior of the car (a 200 chevy venture) the material comes in 32x54 sheets. what i don't want to happen is not ordering enough. which is the best way to guage how much material i will need. doors, roof, floor, side, panels, after which I will use some type of insulation to fill the dead air space.

the best way to do that is trial and error. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but....look, the best way to sound deaden a car is not to just cover everything in dynomat. You don't have to go that far. start by getting your subs and amp in the vehicle where they will be installed. Get your hands on a cd that will run a bass wave sweep through all the frequencies. start with the lowest freq. and find the parts of the vehicle that are rattling. Deaden just those areas with dynomat ad expanding spray foam. Hit the next bass frequency and do it again and again untill you've gone up to around 160hz. That should cover you through the midrange. What you are doing is finding the resonant frequency of your specific vehicle. It may take some time, but it will produce exactly the rock solid result you are looking for, ad ya won't have to spend alot on dynomat. Good luck.

if it's a panel van, good luck. If not... the main spot you wanna get good is the tranny cover

front wheel drive no tranny hump, also was considering adding two speakers 3.5 tweets up in the dash area, thinking about making pods but haven't ever worked with fiber glass. is it difficult to work with? and

1.what is the best material to make a mold of the area?

2. what is going to be the best to make a frame for the fiber glass?

3. or is there something other than fiber glass that will work ?
