I want to build a custom center consule that attaches to my dash then all the way to the back. I have a 2000 durango, with 4 racing seats. I want to glass the top of the box. What should i make the consule plastic, or glass whats easiest especially with distance. Whatever you suggest where can i buy materials. Like ABS Plastic? Thanks a lot

I'D FRAME UP THE CONSOLE IN 1/2" MDF AND THEN GLASS IT WHEN YOU DET YOUR DESIRED SHAPE AND DO THE BOX IN 3/4" MDF

are the subs in the console?  thats what i get from reading it.  id make the sides and as much of the top as you can from 3/4 MDF and the rest of the bottom and top from fiberglass.  should be relatively easy.  id try to make all the large flat areas from MDF tho, becuase of fg's weakness in large flat areas.  but making the bottom from fg will help to make the console fit snug and mold to the humps in the car.  as for places to get it, i always go to home depot, but alot of automotive shops will have what youre looking for too.
