fiberglass box , dodge neon’s trunk

I am making a fiberglass box for the right and left corner of a dodge neon’s trunk. The sub that is going to be used is going to be the Dimond Audio M6 12D4. I want to make it a ported box but of course the box is not square so I can't use wood to make the ports like in a regular wood box. I have already talked to the Diamond audio techs about the box and port size and so on and they said that i need the box to be one cubic feet with a three inch in diameter port, 13 inches long. I was thinking that I can use a bendable plastic port that is 3inch in diameter. I am done with the back part of the box and I am about the wrap the speaker ring and the port but since the port is plastic and plastic don’t bond very well with fiberglass. That’s were I need the help. Is there a different way that I can add the port because I have to be able to bend the port too since is going to be sticking out of the fibreglasses box. Oh i am also new to fiber glassing so sorry if the question is stupid.

well, fiberglass shouldnt have too much of a problem sticking to plastic.  you just need to rough up the area that will get glassed with some 100 grit or so.  should work fine.  also, 1 cuft doesnt seem right to me for a ported 12.  id go with about 1.3.  usually i use 1.0cuft for my sealed enclosures.  but then again, im not a tech, so take it as you will.

use a wood slot port....just build the port and mount it where you want it and wrap you material to it just like your ring. if it needs to bend, make make a 90 degree bend in it.

the diamond subs do take a really small box.

Thanks for the feedback. I was doing some research and i found out that JL Audio is famous for there flex ports and i have actually seen them and they are very flexible. So i will try to buy the port trough the JL Dealer. I have also found a website were i can buy flexible ports. All kinds of
pipes.
