ok this is my first fiberglass install ...but ive read up on this and it has been going ...**smoothly ...kinda** ...anyway ...i wanted to know what type of glue/nails people use for glueing the mdf board together ....also my install is a playstation 2 and lcd screen in my 94 jettas glove compartment ...i found one way to bolt it in to stay ...but what else could i use to make sure everything is secure ...any feedback would be great ...i really appreciate it ...and pics will be coming up also ....

I used regular silicone to glue my two peices of MDF circles together. It seems to be sticking just fine. Oh, I also made sure to get some resin in the cracks of it also, the resin acts as kind of a glue. It should hold for me just fine. Other people might go with a lil something different but for the subs im putting in which is 10 inch kicker c10's it should hold just fine.

Wood glue and woodscrews are what I always use on MDF. Just be sure to pre-drill the holes for the screws or you will split the MDF.

wood glue is the way to go......... once the wood glue is applies to the wood, it can be clamped, stapled, brad nailed, or screwed together.
silicone isnt the best thing to use because it is flexible when it dries. it also isnt that strong.

Well I had a hell of a time getting my plexi glass offf from my mdf box and all that was holding it on was some silicone. I would venture to guess that the silicone will hold unless you have some huge subs with a whole lot fo pressure.

Scuff up the area with very low grit sand paper then wood glue works the best.
