i was wondering if anyone new what i am doing wrong.  I am trying to make some kick pods and when i mix the resin and hardener and place the mat inside it and lay it down, it does not dry.  it takes about a week to dry and then it still feels sticky.  I tried mixing more resin hardener to speed up the drying process but it still doesnt work.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks......

HEAT!!! is the key!!!

If u have a Heat gun... not a hair dryer..  that would speed it up... if u don't have that try leaving it in the sun...  that should cure the resin...  and if u want . try adding more hardner.. over the kickpods.. that might speed it up.. but try the heat first...

How would a heat gun and sun work but not a hairdryer? A hair dryer will work ive used it numerous times. You could try adding another layer of mat with resin with a lot of hardener in it.

dream it, build it, fiberglass it

What kind of resin are you using, specifically?

Make sure you are mixing the components together good too.

you gotta give it a lot of air circulation. i dont know why but i have heard that a hair dryer wont work but a heat gun will. not sure if thats correct, ive never tried either of them. youre probably using polyester instead of epoxy resin. ive had that sticky problem too when i use the polyester.

I have had a couple experiences of resin taking longer to dry than normal.  I have found the reason to be from an old batch of resin.  If it has been on the shelf for too long, it just doesn't work like it is supposed to.

It sounds like you're using cheap resin. I had the same problem when I was trying to use a batch of non-spec resin. Lesson learned. Use the good resin.

Your project will dry eventually but you'll want to get better resin for future work.
