I recently did installed a PS2 in the front center console of a 2000 Suburban. I had to cut out the plastic in the shape of the PS2 to fit it into the console.

I was wondering if there was some kind of rubber trim that other installers are using to put around the edge of plastic that was cut out from the vehicle. Some one had suggested to me the molding that goes around windshield glass.

I am just looking for something that will give the cut a nice finished look. If you know of anything good or certain companies that sell a material that will work. That would be great.

Whenever i do an install like this i try and make some sort of fiberglass mold..but when i get a cheap customer..i just cut the PS2 into the dash..or the center console..or any othre plastic area big enough. But the key is to MAKE THE CUT PERFECT THE FIRST TIME. If you f**k it up..then you will end up doing wht you are..i always cut the hole too smal by a 32nd...then use a die grinder to take it down slowly so i end up with a perfect cut.

there's a rubber type of trim that works well for that, it is slit to go over a pinchweld a body supply store should have it

they have many sizes & selection of shapes that should fit around your cut (if its thin a plastic that you cut into).
