I think my enclousure is gunna have quite a bit more volume that need be. Other than blocks of wood (too heavy) can i use like high density foam or something along those lines to take up some space ?

Anything dense will work as long as it takes up the space. Just make sure that the material is dense enough that it will not cause the enclosure to sound weird.

Alot of people say pillow stuffing will work? Works like polyfil I guess, makes the box smaller.

Adding polyfill will simulate a bigger box.

Polyfill actually makes the box larger. 20 % to be more exact.

ok please explain this to me. . Ive heard that from a whole bunch of people that polyfill simulates a bigger box.  Any explanation for this?  Makes no sense to me.  But then again Ive never seen polyfill. .

Polyfil makes the space in the box more dense, but not so dense as to prevent sound waves to pass through it. It basicly tricks the sub into thinking there is more airspace by the space in the enclosure being denser then normal. Pink fiberglass insulation works as well but is more difficult to work with, itchy.

Polyfill actually creates more surface area for the sound and there for "creates" more space.
