I can't for the life of me remember what the name of a particular product is. I want to say fishman calls if fish foam. It is expanding foam but I was under the inpression that it comes together with a solvant that disolves the foam after your mold cures.

Someelse told me they used something similar in Chem. Lab at school. When they ran out they were able to by it at Sear hardware. I don't know ......

Let me know If you have any ideas. I'd like to know where to find it too.

you can use florist foam.....it comes in smaller blocks, but resin does not eat at it. when you are done, just pour some acetone in there to eat the foam away.

other wise you can use 2 part polyurethane foam. they make different kits, anything in the 4-8lb kits usually works fine.

Fishfoam is 2 part expanding foam. Any fiberglass supplier such as US Composites will carry it. The higher the lb number the denser the foam.

does acetone disolve the two part polyurethane foam too?

And if it does how good of a job does it do?

can I just put a hole in the bottom and pour some it?

How much of a project is getting the foam to disolve.?

I would imagine ne type of acid is gunna eat through almost ne foam. And the only tough part is gunna be getttin that nasty after effect outa ur box. Good Luck.

gas will disolve it.......grin.... i cant wait for the pics of that install ....
