Ok mabe im just an idot but the last time i made a fiberglass box i went threw quite a few paint brushes... is there anything that will wash out the resin before it hardens???

you can put it into a cup of accetone / thinner i believe. I just got the cheapo brushes and pitched them after a day of work

yeah, acetone works best for this but any laquer or paint thinner will do the job. Just get a heavy duty cup, little plastic ones will get eat'n away by the acetone.

well i cleaned mine with hot water, and 409....done it three times now and zero problems, just dont' wait long....

Acetone works great. It gets you a few more applications from a brush. But don't expect too much from a fifty cent brush. You'll have to throw them away quite often. Especially when you don't drop them in the acetone right away. You also have to weigh your time and the cost of acetone to the cost of the brushes you buy. Sometimes it's better just to chuck them.

Thats true. I dont usually event bother with acetone anymore, I just buy like 30 little $.50 brushes from walmart and that will last me about 3 projects. Just make sure when ur ready to glass that u get a good amount done per brush and you wont be wasting anything.
