I'm planning on fiberglassing a rear deck.  My question is will I be able to treat the carpet (like a pulled wooly materieal) like stretched cloth you resin for a box?  Or should I make a mold of something that looks like it and then resin and fg that?

what kind of car, you may not be able to put it back in once stiff....... but anyway, yes, the material on it should hold resin, that's what you would do if you need to gloss a headliner.   Personally, if i was going to glass a rear deck, i'd take a mold, build a frame, then build something one-off....  my 2cents

so I should build a mold for the deck then and not resin and fg it?  Ok sounds good.  I've got a Pontiac Grand Prix.  Enough room on the deck to put a couple of 10" subs.  I might be doin that, so that's why I'm wonderin.  Thanks
