DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO BOND WOOD TO A FIBERGLASS TRUNK(04 MUSTANG)? WE BUILT A FIBERGLASS PIECE TO GO IN THE INSIDE OF THE TRUNK LID AND WE'RE HAVING TROUBLE KEEPING IT ON. CAN ANY ONE HELP? WILL POST PICS LATER ------------- VIP CENTERS

yea man, fiberglass resin bonds to wood perfectly. If you've never worked with resin before I suggest you read plenty of these forums for safety reasons as it can be harmful if u dont know what u are doing. get yourself a respirator and some latex gloves, a mixing cup, a small quart of resin with the hardener included and a 2" brush. mix your resin at about a 1.5% ratio and "paint" the resin on to your wood with the piece either attached (preferebly), or if its already finished then press it on really quick after the resin is applied. not too sure what else to tell ya without pics or a more detailed description of what your doin. good luck

Hey man if you probably need to somehow bolt it up there, if you're talking about the lid. Just bolt it through your fiberglass into the metal bracing or something, that or get a hook bolt that will go around the bracing and then through your fiberglass part. So the it will stay for good, and use big washers on the part of the glass so it doesnt break through. Thats my opinion if you got some pics up we could further help you.

First, loose the caps. Second, definetaly need a pic, hard to think of what you are talking aout.
