Alot of people use that green foam, that you buy at wal mart.  That they use to plant in pots and stuff.

I know what you're talking about, its urethane foam. You can order from places you might could even find someone in your area that sells it.

Check with marine supply stores. The urethane foam is used in this industry for boyancy and to fill voids but the higher densities can be sculpted asd used as molds. Be sure to seal the foam surface with shellac or other similar product prior to applying the glass or you'll never separate it.

Hey if ya wanna use that foam ya get from walmart you'll have to cover it with something since the resin eats it. I was making a console one time and covered the foam with joint compound and then after it had dried I put the resin on, it worked very well.

Hey I got another idea that I was gonna use. I was going to get that stuff that comes in the squirt can that you fill in holes with. The squirt foam or whatever and put it in a bucket and fill it up with that stuff and then make my mold once it dried it may not work I dont know but I figure it would.
