i know this is not a new trick and i certainly did not invent it but i just got around to trying it yesterday- i took some MDF sawdust from my last rotozip project and mixed it to a paste with resin then stirred in some hardener. i used to to make some of the complex corners in the box im working on be a little smoother. then i took a brush dipped in hot resin and brushed it to feather the paste into the rest of the glass work and added a few layers of 1.5oz mat. it worked SO good, i can think of 1,000 more things i want to do wih this. if you have never tried the sawdust trick i recomend it. good luck and happy glassing.

Check out this thread.  I used a resin/sawdust mix for this:
