What silicon or sealer would be the best thing to use if I did not use terminal cups but just drilled a hole and stuck a wire trough for the sub to link up to the amp. Can someone tell me the brand and what ever is says on the tube so I can go out to Lowe’s or Home depo to get it.
Thanks You in advance

I use Liquid Nails -Heavy Duty Construction brand when I build a box. I assume it is made out of MDF?

Liquid nails would work really good.  I dont know the name brand of any type of silicone but I would say just get the regular silicone, not caulk.

They make silicone with caulk for putting around windows at your house. Not very good for speaker enclosures.

Yeah supradude got it there is a difference between silicone and caulk, caulk is kindof like that stuff they in between the tiles in your bathroom, silicone is more rubbery. You can tell the difference because it says caulk on the tube. Just buy the stuff that doenst say caulk.

Actually, grout is the stuff between bathroom tiles.  Some bathroom and kitchen "caulk" is silicone.  Look in the bathroom/kitchen section.  Just make sure its Silicone.  I like GE's Silicone II.

Liquid Nails also makes a version for MDF.  Its the Paneling one.  Look on the back and one of its recommended uses is MDF board.

Yeah I knew that the stuff in the bathroom is grout I was just saying that if I remember correctly, "which is very possible that I dont".  The caulk kind of has the same gritty texture to it.  I could be wrong though.

Man, just drill a tight hole, for the wire just to fit through, don't drill a half in hole, you will never notice a difference, you don't have to caulk it. It doesn't matter if he uses caulk or silicone. It will all seat up the airhole. But you will never notice a difference man if you drill a tight hole and work the wire through it, trust me.

Buy 2 , 2.5" long bolts, cut the heads off so its just threads, , then drill 2 holes in your box for them to stick through, put a washer and a nut on the inside, and hook your wire up to it with a ring terminal, and do the same on the outside.  That way you have a very solid terminal that you can disconnect with the twist of a wrench, or a wing nut.
