Huh, works just fine for me. You need to put the file extension in, file name then ".jpg". In your case "https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/uploads/D31_acrylic_spkr_55.jpg". Also you can pick plexi/acrylic up at most commercial glass shops.

I would guess its either 3/4 plexi of lexan, lexan is the same as bulletproof glass.  So I know its stronger than just plexi since you can take plexi and just break it over your knee, probably not the 3/4 stuff but you see what im saying.   Lexan is also more expensive that plexi, and a sheet of plexi is very expensive.  Well I think you can use a jig saw to cut it, but I'm sure a router would probably work better.   I dont think he used any bracing i'm ASSUMING the rest of the box is mdf and he just screwed or bolted it to that.

It has to be cut at a low speed with the jig saw or it will melt and gum up the blade. I've seen a post here somewhere that mentioned routing a groove then using lighter fluid or some other type of flamible liquid, pouring it into the groove and letting it burn then,  just snapping it off for a clean cut. Then just sanding the edge for a finished look. I personaly have never done this but it sounds good in theory....then again so do a lot of things.

You cut with a router or a fine tooth blade on a jig/table saw. To clean the edges up sand with at least 220 then take a torch on a lowest setting and make a couple of passes over the edge being careful not to melt or burn the plastic.

For a face to a box you should use 3/4 inch. I would also recommend that you use plexi and not lexan. Just wait till you see the prices.

3/4 in plexi is heavy duty stuff, I honestly dont think you would need the lexan... I mean, it is heavy duty stuff... as well, if I rememer correctly, do a search on plexi-glass, there was a guy on here a whole back, I want to say a couple months ago, tryin to get rid of about 4 or 5 sheets he had, it might have been 1/2 but I think it was 3/4. I hope you find something out man, and make sure you post pics. I as well have heard of the grove and light procedure for cutting the glass. But be careful not to spill any on the rest of the plexi and just in the grove, otherwise the fire will spead and your piece of plexi is worthless... or a very nasty install! Post pics bro, and good luck man!
