i installed a crimestopper remote start into on 03 gmc envoy, and now when ever you start the truck, with the starter or the key, the needles all dive, twitch three times and then return to rest. they all work, but you can also hear a grinding sound when they move down now too. not up, but only down. any ideas?  i've already disconnected the tach wire i hooked up, under the hood, at the bcm, blue plug white wire, and when that had no effect, i pulled the fuses on the remote start, which also didn't help.

my venture mini van gauges do the same thing...minus the grinding. did it do this before you installed the alarm? mine has always done it.
