Well first question is do you want to keep the spare tire? If the answer is no then how high are you willing to raise the floor.

Well if you lose the tire then you really would't need to raise the floor. If you keep the spare then you are looking at raising the floor a bare minumum of 6-8 inches.

KEEP IT!!!! You will regret the hell out of it at some point if you ditch the spare tire. And make sure you can get to it. Make a cardboard template of your trunk, cut that out of MDF, BAM, you gotta false floor. Mounting it will depend on the car and since I don't have one to look at I cant tell you how. Be creative. But make sure you can still get to that tire. If you can't get to it on the side of the road in the rain, then you should have just ditched it to begin with.

Personally I would never lose the spare in a daily driver, don't care even with AAA. Then again I don't care about my trunk and it will be completely useless if I ever get around to finishing the glass work in it.

Are those subs on the sides? If so I don't understand why it will be a tire well enclosure. Or are those components on the sides?

If that is the design you want(at the top of this page) then you will not be doing a spare tire enclouse. Spare tire enclousers use the spare tire well as the enclouser. What people do is they usually make a fiberglass mold of the spare tire well and then use mdf as the top where the subs will sit. The picture you have is just a trunk enclouser.

I understand what your saying. You want to make that design and if extra air space is needed, go into the tirewell. That sounds a bit difficult. Try your hardest not to have to do that. I'm sure it can work out without going in to the well for more space. That way you can have your enclosure and your spare tire too.

I know with my trunk when I had 2 12's in the back I didn't need to go into the spare tire well. Also is that diagram to proportion? If it is, that is a huge amp compared to your subs.

you have to be careful though if your keeping you spare tire and making an mdf floor it will be tricky to manuver the new floor out it is not flexable like cardboard, in my hatchback i have and mdf floor andi have a strut bar so it is really tricky to get the tire out so insted i just bout tire in a can i think its the best and sh*t its lighter than a tire lol...
