What are your opinions about it? Does it really work good and is the quality good?

Photogenesis, sometimes called Hydro Graphics is a state-of-the-art process that can decorate just about any hard-surfaced, non-porous two-or-three dimensional part. This process can make the part look like a variety of finishes, including wood grains, carbon fibers, camouflage, granites and brushed aluminums. The process is not limited to just flat surfaces, it will wrap around edges and flow into cavities to give each and every part a completely finished look. It can also be controlled to only cover section of surface if desired. The base tones are endless, such as in the appearance of wood grain: the tone can be light, medium, dark, or anywhere in between. Custom proprietary colors can be designed as well. All the customer has to do is choose two variables: Base color (wood tones), and Pattern type (grain, carbon fiber, granite etc).

Never heard of it but it seems pretty cool. I'm sure the woodgrain looks fake but the other finishes might look pretty cool. I'm also guessing you could go with like a blue wood grain if you desired. Really seems pretty cool. Any idea on pricing??

The only one i didnt like was the Kevlar hybrid colors... looked real fake

You can even work with them to design your own pattern

Man after seeing those sites I'm even more interested. That stuff is cool! Is there any where you can buy the film and do it yourself? It really seems easy. That marble looks hot but it wouldn't match my jeep at all.

I dunno. Depends on the chem that they use to get the ink to float . They have been using this method for awhile now. Originally used to give guns the camo look

i seen that stuff on tv before, , very simple method, , ,just it would be hard and probably expensive to make the tub to dip your project into.  I wana see if i can send my sub box's top them to get carbon fibered

Hmmmm... Ok, I've thought this through a little. If this indeed uses the process they use for camo'ing guns, well, good luck. The machinery designed to make it accurately and easily fit stuff like that is well, big. So then you are looking at craftsmanship on your own part. Assuming you could get it all setup to do it, it'd take a good while to learn how to get it to cooperate with all the parts. This is assuming the material is forgiving as well. :)

Regarding prices... That's not bad on some of the smaller stuff or even the bigger stuff, but I would want rough ideas for all vehicles. (Like a base price?)

Honestly, I didn't see anything on there that was great, at all, or that couldn't be done by learning some painting techniques. Now for anyone who has no ability to learn/access the materials for that to do 100% custom art work on their fiberglass, ok... But I'd rather invest the money/time into learning that and being able to apply it to interior and exterior. But that's me, and I really found nothing hugely impressive there. Cool idea, I'm sure it works for a good majority of people, but I'd rather learn to do brushing myself that I can use on different levels.

Man you could never paint the marble like that. I've seen some badass painters and none of them have it come out looking like real marble. As for machinery I don't think there realy is any. Just a tub. dip it in, pull it out. I'm sure the hardest part is finding out where to buy the stuff, because companies like that don't want you doing it in your bathroom.

I doubt they do...

Concerning the bad ass painters... There may be some patterns that would be incredibly hard to duplicate, but that doesn't mean impossible. They are just making it a fast version of image to print.... A painter would be the printing stage of that... But I don't know enough to say this should be possible. So I stand corrrected, there may be a few patterns just easier to pay for. The machinery is what is used for camo guns... Designed wrapping technique. (I don't know why, but somewhere I watched a documentary on this.)
