As always I changed my mind on how I wanted my car to look, soooo amp enclosure v2.  Looking to make something relatively enclosed hidden to house a 5 ch. and a 1 ch. sub amp (going to also add a sub to this version of the enclosure).  Pics of naked car, tape job and first layer of glass below.  Probably didn't need to get as much detail in the glass job as I did, but I reasoned the better it fits the nooks and crannies the less chance for rattles when all is said and done.  Probably gonna take a crowbar and three people to get it out!  Back is screaming right now, 6 hours sitting indian style when you're 6'4 and change ain't the best.  Comments and suggestions welcome!  Sorry about the linking, posting pics never seems to work for me.

I'd say you changed your mind alright. I can't give you any suggestions as most of the enclosure is still inside your head,(thats where I keep all of mine.) but looks like your off to a second great start.

I like the work man, I think it will be a much easier "canvas" to work on as compared to the first attempt. I also like the vision of the hidden amps, much more stealth esp in an SUV. HAHA I can also relate to the back pain, I'm also 6'4" + and several hours either crammed in my trunk or bent over it really takes it's toll on the back. Keep up the work and the updated pics

Made a little (very little) bit of progress this afternoon.

https://www.caraudio.com/vg/showimage.php?i=5021&c=503

Not the greatest looking cuts on the piece that follows the glass but after the 3rd try got the cut that flushes with the spare tire cover perfect.  Figure the other part is going to be hidden anyways.  Dropped a quick layer of glass/resin to it to keep it in place.  Unfortunately day got cut short by the pac10 bball championship, c'mon DAWGS!

Sorry but I will win the slowness contest.  I haven't even started my box yet.  My truck is just a chopped up dash board, steering wheel, one seat, and about $400 of dynamat extreme right now on the inside.

AH, so that is what I did wrong.

Actually I just have to finish sand it. I took a job doing nothing but security and have a company car, so I put my car on the back burner.
