I have seen the hzemall site of the srt 4 but does anyone have a how to on the best way of doing this? I don't want to copy any one particular install but its the fact that i've never done this before and I want it to come out perfect... CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE??????

I have a dvd on how to do installs with bondo and fiberglass it is what i started with. if you want a copy i will try to burn it for you.

I've seen the ones select products have out. and I also have light to moderate fiberglass experience... But I'm just not confident enought to know how to approach this project... I just found my other post just like this on page 3 so if someone has to delete this one then ok... I am just hoping to get started on this this comming week...

Assuming you mean to fiberglass this to the lid... There is no "perfect" way to accomplish anything the first time out. Just look at the pics, and go by them. (They are pretty self explanatory on the steps.) If not...

#1: Seal off the area (prep) for fiberglass. Removing the trunklid would be a good idea.
#2: Apply the fiberglass as needed. Trim.
#3: Take your idea of how you want it to look (sketches are a good start) and build some frame work.
#4: Fleece and step back and decide if you like the look. If not stop and restart the framing again.
#5: Fiberglass more.
#6: Sand. Bondo. Sand. Carpet.
#7: Mount to lid through the holes for speakers.
#8: Mount speakers.

Yes there are little details in there that you will need to do, but those are just common wiring/fiberglassing knowledgge you should know if you have any experience with F/G.

The easiest way to do it is to draw it first. Then take the deck lid off. Make a mold, build your frame, rip it apart cause you hate the way it looks, re build your frame, repeat last two steps four times, lay your FG and sand away. Then use the finish of your choice.

Most important is to make a mold that can be removed from the car. That way no matter how bad you screw up, you don't have to live with it. Just throw it away and start over.
