Needed: Spray bottle, Water, Alcohol, Dish washing detergent, Razor, Fine Metal File, Rubber squeege, Paper towels, Good tint (NOT Ghilla that stuff is crap) good lighting and time.
1. Clean the outside of the window....
2. Cut tint to approximate size wet outside of window and lay tint on the window...
3 cut the tint to fit the basic shape of the window. Later you may need to cut it more exact just try to get the basic shape leave a little extra at the top....
4 using water/alcohol mix spray on inside of window and use razor blade to Scrape clean the inside the wash again with water/alcohol mix.
5 Roll down the window to expose the top curve of the window (not all the way down just enough to get the whole curve)
6.take a screw driver or something rigid and push the inside window seal (the rubber seal that touches the window on the inside) down into the door
7. then with mixture of soap(dish washing detergent) and water wet the inside of the window and squeege it to make sure all the water/alcohol mix is gone, then wet the inside again with the water/soap mix wet it alot (Will make the tint easier to move around.
8 remove backing film and wet the glue side of the tint with the water/soap mix (keeps tint from sticking to your fingers .apply tint to inside of window line it up as best with the top curve of the window.
9 wet the tint with the water and soap mix then with rubber squeege (not credit card or drivers license) lay the tint on the top of the window keeping it lined up with the very edge of the top of the window (you may need a heat gun or hair dryer to help lay the tint but dont burn it).
10 After laying most of the tint towards the top of the window take a Fine File and file away the top to make it line up and match perfectly (You can use a razor but this is easyer)
11 once the top of the window is lined up roll the window up ( you may need to push the rubber seal back down again if it comes up) and lay the bottom part of the tint....Make sure to squeege out the large puddles of water and soap under the tint and be very careful not to crease the tint.
This is a very crude explanation of how to ....Doing it perfectly takes time and practice...
Do not roll the windows down for about 3-4 days (Depending on the temp outside If its hot 3 days will do fine if its cool out you may want to wait at least 4-5 days)
DO NOT Clean the inside of the window with any product that contains Ammonia (Windex) it will turn the tint Purple...
I would suggest using the Water/Soap mix or water/alcohol mix to clean the inside...
Take your time and do this in a Well lit area so you can see little imperfections as you lay the tint...
